If you’re shopping in the $250–275 range for a new portable vaporizer, two names are going to come up again and again: the Storz & Bickel Veazy and the Crafty+ (Plus). Both are built by the same legendary German company, both deliver excellent vapor, and both are designed to be pocket-friendly. But they aren’t identical twins. Each one brings its own personality to the table, and which one is right for you depends on how you like to use your device.
I’ve spent real time with both, and in this post I’ll break down the differences so you can figure out which one matches your style. Think of this less as a “winner vs loser” showdown and more like a conversation with a friend who’s tried both and wants to help you pick the one that makes sense for you. So let’s find out which is best in our Veazy vs Crafty+ review!

Both the Veazy and the Crafty+ (Plus) showcase Storz & Bickel’s signature aesthetic, but the Veazy sports a little more personality. They are both constructed of the same medical grade PEEK plastic, but the veazy comes in 4 color ways (blue, black, pink, and orange). The veazy resembles a small venty and the crafty+ resembles a small mighty+. Both are well constructed and pretty tough based on my uses.
This is one of the biggest differences between the two.
The Veazy takes about 35–45 seconds depending on your temp setting. That’s quick, and it feels even faster if you give it an extra 10 seconds of heat soak before your first pull. The Crafty+ Around 60 seconds give or take. Not painfully slow, but noticeably longer than the Veazy.
If you’re the type who wants to sneak in a quick session before heading out the door, the Veazy’s speed is a real advantage. The Crafty+ makes you wait a little longer, but the payoff is that first dense, flavorful draw.
Let’s talk about the thing that matters most: flavor.
The Crafty+ is still the benchmark here. It delivers vapor that’s nearly identical to the Mighty+, which is saying a lot. The first draw is dense, cool, and packed with flavor. Throughout a session, the Crafty+ keeps that flavor consistent, and the draw resistance is basically nonexistent. You can pull as hard or as gently as you want and it just works.
The Veazy is no slouch, though. Once you bump the starting temperature up from its stock 356°F to something closer to 365°F or higher, the vapor comes alive. You get visible clouds, solid flavor, and a satisfying session. Out of the box, the default temp feels a little too conservative, but with a quick tweak in the app, the Veazy performs beautifully.
Verdict on flavor: If you’re chasing the absolute best taste possible between the two, the Crafty+ edges out the Veazy. If you’re happy with “really good” flavor that still satisfies, the Veazy holds its own once dialed in.
This is where the Veazy shines. It’s the most portable Storz & Bickel device yet. It’s slimmer than the Crafty+, slips into pockets more easily, and just feels a little more “grab and go.” I’ve taken it on hikes and even forgot it was in my pocket until I sat down to use it.
The Crafty+ is still portable, but it’s a bit chunkier. It fits fine in medium to large pockets or a bag, but in tighter jeans or athletic wear it can feel a little more bulky than the Veazy. Both are very portable in my opinion.
Both devices land in the same ballpark for battery life.
The Veazy gives you about 6–7 bowls per charge.
The Crafty+ gives you about 5–6 bowls per charge.
Neither has a removable battery, so you’ll be charging via USB-C. The Veazy charges to 80% in about 35 minutes and hits full in just over an hour. The Crafty+ takes 45–60 minutes for a full charge. Both are solid for their size, and both will get you through a day of normal use.
Both are excellent, but the Crafty+ has the edge. Its airflow is nearly effortless, while the Veazy is just a touch more restrictive. The difference is very small, and most people won’t notice unless they’re comparing side by side.
The Crafty+ is probably best for flavor chasers and people who want Mighty+ performance in a smaller body. It’s ideal for relaxed, sit-down sessions where you want to savor your herb. The longer heat-up time and session-only mode make it less suited for quick stealth hits, but if you care most about taste, this is your pick.
The Veazy will probably work best for people who want portability, fun design, and still very good flavor. It’s more pocketable, heats up a little faster, and feels like a device you can take anywhere without thinking about it. If you’re going to concerts, festivals, or just want something light and easy to carry, the Veazy is a great fit.
Having said that, they are both VERY portable so it’s really down to preference and price.
Ultimately it all comes down to what you want out of a vaporizer and what you’re willing to spend. The MSRP of the Veazy is $250 and the MSRP of the crafty+ is $279 dollars. But as of writing, you can get a crafty for less money than the veazy. While the veazy is the newer vaporizer, the crafty+ is, and has been, a stellar performer for a few years. Having said that, the veazy is fun, new and really comfortable to take around with you. That’s not to say that the crafty can’t be that as well, it’s just that the veazy is a touch better.
I mean, they’re both great…but if you told me that I could only pick one, I would probably pick the Crafty+. For me, the flavor and performance is just a little bit better and as of writing this, you can get it for a better price.
The Veazy is more portable and heats up faster, while the Crafty+ delivers slightly better flavor and airflow. The “better” choice depends on whether you value portability or taste more.
The Crafty+ takes about 60 seconds to reach temperature, which is slower than the Veazy’s 35–45 seconds.
The Veazy averages 6–7 bowls per charge, while the Crafty+ typically delivers 5–6 bowls.
Yes. Both connect to the S&B app, but the Veazy benefits more from app adjustments since its default temperature is conservative.
The Veazy is slimmer and lighter, making it easier to carry in tight pockets. The Crafty+ is still portable but ever so slightly bulkier.
The Crafty+ edges out the Veazy in flavor and airflow, offering vapor quality closer to the Mighty+.
No. Both devices use built-in batteries and charge via USB-C.
