Bomb ERig Sykloud Review Summary

The Bomb ERIG Sykloud stands out as a well-built, semi-portable electric dab rig with impressive vapor quality, strong battery life, and precise temperature control. Its aluminum body feels premium, and overall it delivers smooth and flavorful hits and can produce MASSIVE clouds.

While the button system has bit of a learning curve, especially the inability to lower the temperature (we will talk more about this later), it’s a minor inconvenience compared to its overall performance. The Bomb ERIG Sykloud handles any concentrates you can throw at it while maintaining a consistent temperature for satisfying clouds. Battery life is excellent, lasting 12–15 sessions per charge based on our testing, though users must fully charge it before first use to prevent degradation.

In terms of value, this erig provides a solid price to performance ratio, performing on par with higher-end models at a much lower price. Accessories like the spinner carb cap add a unique and fun flair, making sessions even more enjoyable. Cleaning is straightforward, and replacement parts are readily available, ensuring longevity. For those seeking a powerful, reliable, and well-priced e-rig, the Bomb ERIG Sykloud easily gets our recommendation!

The bomb erig is really, really cool. I chose the “rainbow” color and when you see it in person it’s just such a wonderful color! The unboxing experience was standard and came with the box, a charging cable, dab tool, filling tool (funnel), atomizer, and cotton swabs.

Design & Build Quality

Picking up the Bomb ERIG Sykloud, I was honestly taken aback by how weighty it was. I genuinely was expecting this device to be much lighter than it was. That’s not to say that this thing is like carrying a kettle bell around, as it has a really good, solid weight and feel without being too heavy.

As stated above, I purchased the “rainbow” color for this device. It’s stunning and really fun to look at; however, if you don’t like seeing fingerprints on your dab rig then this is not the color for you! For me, it’s not a big deal and as you use it and add fingerprints to it, the colors shift a little, which is a cool effect to look at…especially when you’re medicated 😉

As far as portability goes, it’s an ERig so it’s not something you’re going to throw in your pocket and run around with by any stretch; but it’s fairly portable and bomb offers a bag you can purchase that is water resistant and smell resistant, that should help you transport the Sykloud with no problems (we have not tested this bag). But this device could fit handily in a small cross-body bag, purse, or backpack.

Bomb E-Rig Sykloud Review

Ease of Use

Getting started with the Bomb ERIG Sykloud is fairly straight forward; simply charge it until it says full (more about this later in the review), once it’s done charging simply add the atomizer, put some water in it (no more than half-way) turn it on, set the temp, and then you’re on your way.

The atomizer has a deep chamber which minimizes any splash-back from dropping your dab into a scorching hot chamber. The atomizer is 22mm long which is really really nice!

User Interface

The user interface is very bare bones with one button and a small screen to show you your temperature and session time. The instructions included with the Sykloud are pretty important because the power button is your only means of interfacing with the device.

Five rapid clicks turns the device on, two start your session, a long press gives you manual heating, and 3 clicks allow you to adjust your temperature.

Temperature Controls

One thing that bugs the crap out of me with the Sykloud is the fact that there is no way to go backwards with your temperature when you are setting it. This means that if you miss your target temperature, or feel the temperature you set is too high, you have to go all the way to the highest degree of temperature (700F or roughly 371C). That is annoying for me as I like to play around with different temperatures. In future revisions of this device I’d love to see dedicated temperature buttons.

Performance & Vapor Quality

Heating process

The Bomb ERIG Sykloud heats rapidly and takes roughly 5 seconds to come up to temperature thanks to the design of its atomizer that has thin, ceramic yet sturdy walls.

This device also holds its temperature very well with maybe a degree or two of loss as you’re pulling on it, but it jumps right back up and maintains that temperature throughout your session. In my few months of using this device I haven’t seen any massive temperature spikes or drops at all.

Battery Life and Charging

I get around 15-20 sessions per charge as I don’t run this thing super hot (roughly around 420F). For me and my testing I have been very impressed with the battery on the Bomb Sykloud. It charges via USB-C but does not have fast charging capabilities.

As far as the battery goes, you MUST charge it fully before your first use. The device will let you know when the battery is full by displaying “full” on it’s screen. If you fail to do this, your battery life will most likely suffer. So be warned.

After about 4 months of almost nightly use (I like to dab and then do dry herb vapes after), the battery is still holding strong. I must admit that I take pretty good care of my vaporizers and try to clean them regularly, but I have seen some reddit reviews of this device and some report that it still works after a long time of abuse and not cleaning it. That’s not me saying go abuse this thing, I just think it underscores that this is a pretty solid product.

Customization & Features

Bomb has a lot of different glass you can purchase for the Sykloud and a lot of them are really fun and unique. There are also a lot of aftermarket glass products you can get for it as well.

I think one of the main standout features is the spinner carb cap. For me, as a person who grew up watching MTV and seeing every Range Rover or Escalade with spinning rims, the fact that you have a spinner carb cap is just so fun. I can usually spin it once and it will spin the whole time I draw on it but honestly I rarely do that because I just enjoy spinning the carb cap a lot!

The second feature I enjoy is the LED lights under the percolator. They rotate through your standard colors but once the device has hit its target temperature, all the lights turn green indicating that it’s ready for use. Once your session is over, the lights will turn off and go back to their normal rotation of colors. It’s fun and helpful in my opinion.

Cleaning & Maintenance

The atomizer is removable as well as the percolator which makes it much easier to clean. The atomizer is a quarter turn and it’s locked in while the percolator is more “press fit” into the silicone sleeve that protects the internals.

Sometimes the spinner cap can get gunky and will lose its ability to spin freely. If that happens, you can easily clean it with some ISO or warm, soapy water, dry it and it should spin freely again.

Cleaning requires removal of these two pieces (atomizer and percolator) and once that is done, you can simply soak the deep heat chamber with ISO along with the percolator.

As far as cleaning the percolator is concerned, I find that I need to clean it weekly or else the buildup will become quite the chore to clean. For me, I simply fill it all the way up with ISO and let it soak for about ten minutes or so, then I plug both holes, give it a shake and it usually comes out squeaky clean.

Once I’m done with ISO a thorough rinse with some water gets it ready for its next use!

Replacement parts

I would certainly suggest picking up a second atomizer and maybe some extra glassware for your dab rig just in case you drop it and break the glass or want to quick swap your atomizer for any reason. As far as the body of the device goes, it seems that it’s not readily serviceable and I actually have some experience with that!

Customer Service

About a week into my using the Bomb Dab Rig, my screen went out. Naturally, I reached out to customer support and while their method was unorthodox, I received my replacement unit very quickly.

I say “unorthodox” because I ended up having to text a number from my phone. It was interesting in that as soon as I sent the text it turned blue indicating that I was using imessage. My unit’s screen went out late on a Friday night and I sent the text right away.

On Monday around mid-day I received a text back from that number asking me a few questions. It was honestly like chatting with a friend which I found refreshing. They asked me for my order number and what was wrong with the device. After I explained everything, they simply asked me to send them a video of my issue. Once they saw the video, they replied back with “aight I gothchu” and I immediately had an email stating that my new device was ordered and ready to ship.

I got my new device a few days later and ultimately I was quite pleased with the outcome. They didn’t ask me to send them the old device or anything…they just sent me a new one.

The only area I can think they can improve on is some sort of “confirmation” that they, as a company, received your message and will contact you as soon as they can. I think this would go a long way in making the user feel comfortable that they are being taken care of rather than just texting a random number and hoping for the best.

Overall my experience with customer service was a positive experience!

Price & Value

This device is a standout at its current price-point. By comparison it’s in the same price category as the Puffco peak and honestly it’s really competing in a category of E-rig higher than that. It really does sit comfortably in the Puffco Peak Pro and Dr. Dabber Switch categories of vaporizer but at a much lower price point making the Bomb Erig Sykloud one of the best Erigs you can get for under $250.
